The elevation is 1,060 ft.The campground is situated in mature mixed woods. Some sites are adjacent to a fast flowing creek, which can be heard from all sites. Cave Mountain Lake and picnic area were constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) in the late thirty's. Some sites have stone te from forestcamping.com
