Nestled deep in the mangroves and with a stunning view of downtown, this beach is a local favorite for those with little grandchildren. It has a man-made atoll pool that has virtually no current, is as warm as a sauna, and is cleaned by the tides of Biscayne Bay. So don those swim diapers and don"t from grandparents.com

Excellent spot for flat shallow water kiting. Sandy/muddy and grass shallows for quite a distance from the launch site. A concession operated by a local sports shop monitors kiters for ability before allowing use. Launch is a little tricky next to parking lot, but people are always ready to help la from kitesurfatlas.com
